What an amazing concept, perhaps following the important adage "Think Globally, Drink Locally?"
Would love to see some suggestive focus on certain areas -- both sides of the bridge, new park to Shem Creek, Mt. Pleasant. People are clamoring for connectivity and lifestyle, but many only know what they like when they see it.

We want Live Streets to accomplish the following:
1. Inspire people to demand complete streets and oppose any new streets that are solely automobile oriented.
2. Raise money to make minor retrofits to dangerous streets making them pedestrian and bike friendly.
3. Raise money to create packages to pursue funding needed to tackle big street revitalization projects.
4. Bring a variety of interest groups together to focus on a singular goal of improving our public realm.
5. Promote and facilitate the adoption of Complete Street ordinances by local municipalities.

We want to raise money for Live Streets the following ways:
1. Hosting live music events that raise money for the cause through ticket sales, t-shirt sales, and food and drink sales.
2. Create sponsorship opportunities that raise money and promote sponsors through the Live Street website, advertisement and speaking opportunities at Live Street events, and advertisement at road improvement sites.
3. Grant funding opportunities.
We are considering structuring Live Streets the following way:
1. A non-profit organization
2. Governed by its founders
3. A volunteer advisory committee to guide decision making
3. Potential future employees for event planning, grant pursuit, etc.
We would like for Live Streets to form alliances with the following organizations:
1. Charleston Moves
2. Holy City Bike Co-op
3. ULI SC
4. CNU
5. Green Drinks
6. Chamber of Commerce
7. AIA SC
8. ASLA SC
9. Smart Growth America
10. Coastal Conservation League
11. Complete Streets
12. Local community organizations
13. Eat Smart Move More SC
